An Asian food distributor near Heathrow required a substantial freezer cold room to store imported goods.
They needed to completely infill a warehouse with the room and also needed a ramp from the freezer coming out externally to the delivery bay. We built a freezer which is 12.8m x 13.8m x 5.1m high and has 3 independent, remote refrigeration systems which gives the customer a backup solution in the future. The floor in the cold room is made up with a heater mat to stop cold transfer as well as insulation and a reinforced concrete finish. There are 2 doors including a sliding door with a ramp to the outside loading area and a hinged door to their customer area.
